Banana Recovery & Rehabilitation Center
Some bananas get thrown away for being too ripe. Not these bananas. They retired, moved to our little community, and now bake (and stir up) trouble every single day.
The world's first banana recovery & rehabilitation center
Bad Bananas are what happens when you get left in the fruit bowl too long. Everybody wrote them off. They got better anyway: sweeter, deeper, more interesting than the firm yellow ones nobody remembers.
They're a little mischievous about it. The rule at this bakehouse is that the browner and more spotted you are, the older, wiser, and more trouble you're allowed to be.

The celebrity wing
Fame doesn't stop the spots. These residents checked in quietly and asked us not to make a big thing of it, so naturally we put them on the website.

To turn overripe into over-the-top delicious, spread joy, stir up a little trouble, and make the world a sweeter place.
Guilty as charged
We may be a little spotty, a little soft, and a lot quirky… perfect for baking and perfect for loving.
Too ripe to be wrong. ♥

Join the listThe ongoing scandal
Granny Bananny makes tiny chocolate chip cookies. At a banana bakehouse. She has been asked about this repeatedly and her position has not changed. They are criminally delicious and criminally banana-free, and she would like everyone to move on.
Why it's true
Green bananas make bland bread. As a banana ripens its starch turns to sugar, the flavour deepens, and the freckles come out. By the time it looks like it has stopped trying, it is at its absolute best.
So they come here instead. Somewhere warm, with a view, where nobody is going to tell them they are past it. They taste better for it, and frankly they have earned the holiday.
Rescued. Rehabilitated. Redeemed. ♥
